How to Use Yoga Blocks

Similarly, using a block in trikonasana (triangle pose) can help you get more stretch in your legs, hips, and spine. Placing the block under your extended hand when it is on the ground will increase the length of that side of your body while decreasing strain to any particular area - especially helpful if performing this pose during a longer yoga session or routine where one gets fatigued toward the end.
Yoga blocks can be placed under your knees or elbows when performing poses which involve these areas in order to get more comfort out of them. This will allow practitioners who have knee injuries or problems related to their elbow joints (such as tennis elbow) an opportunity for better practice without pain coming from either area's particular position during certain movements.
